When it comes to planning your dream wedding, keeping up with the latest trends can be both exciting and overwhelming. In this blog post, we'll explore five TikTok wedding trends that have been making waves, and we'll assess their worthiness for your big day.

1. Mini Wedding Cakes: Sweet and Stylish

One of the TikTok wedding trends that has taken the wedding world by storm is mini wedding cakes. These delightful, pint-sized confections are not only adorable but also practical. They offer the perfect portion control for your guests and can be customized to match your wedding theme. Mini wedding cakes are definitely worth considering, whether you're planning a grand affair or an intimate celebration.

2. Eco-Friendly Weddings: A Sustainable Choice

Sustainability is no longer a buzzword; it's a lifestyle choice, and it's also making its way into the wedding industry. TikTok users have been sharing their eco-friendly wedding ideas, from recycled invitations to locally sourced, organic food. For those looking to minimize their environmental impact, these ideas are definitely worth incorporating into your wedding planning.

3. Vintage Wedding Decor: Timeless Elegance

TikTok has revived the love for vintage wedding decor. From antique china and heirloom lace to retro furniture and nostalgic photo booths, these trends add a touch of timeless elegance to your special day. If you appreciate the charm of days gone by, vintage wedding decor is certainly worth considering.

4. Unconventional Bouquets: Breaking Tradition

The classic bridal bouquet is getting a TikTok makeover. Brides are experimenting with unconventional bouquet ideas, such as dried flowers, succulents, and even feathers. If you're looking to break away from tradition and create a unique bouquet that reflects your personality, this trend is worth exploring.

5. Outdoor Wedding Venues: Embracing Nature's Beauty

As couples increasingly turn to outdoor wedding venues Louisville, KY, TikTok is abuzz with the wonders of alfresco celebrations. Hosting your wedding in a picturesque outdoor location offers the beauty of nature as a backdrop and a unique atmosphere. If you're considering an outdoor wedding, you'll find a wealth of inspiration on TikTok to make your day truly memorable.

The Worthiness of TikTok Wedding Trends for Your Big Day

While TikTok is a treasure trove of inspiration, not every trend may be suitable for your wedding. Let's delve into the worthiness of these trends and whether they align with your vision for the big day.

1. Mini Wedding Cakes: A Sweet Addition

Mini wedding cakes are worth considering for your wedding, whether you're hosting a grand soirée or a smaller gathering. They add a touch of sweetness and style to your dessert table, and their portion control ensures that everyone gets to enjoy a delectable treat. Plus, they can be customized to match your wedding theme, making them a versatile and appealing choice.

2. Eco-Friendly Weddings: A Responsible Choice

Eco-friendly weddings are not just a trend; they are a responsible choice. Choosing sustainable practices for your wedding can have a positive impact on the environment and reflect your commitment to a greener future. From using recycled paper for invitations to opting for locally sourced, organic food, there are many eco-conscious choices you can make to reduce your carbon footprint on your big day.

3. Vintage Wedding Decor: Timeless and Elegant

Vintage wedding decor exudes timeless elegance and adds a touch of nostalgia to your celebration. If you appreciate the charm of yesteryears, this trend is certainly worth embracing. Whether it's antique china, heirloom lace, or retro furniture, vintage elements can create a romantic and unforgettable atmosphere for your wedding.

4. Unconventional Bouquets: A Personal Statement

Unconventional bouquets are perfect for brides who want to make a personal statement with their wedding flowers. Whether you choose dried flowers for a rustic feel, succulents for a touch of greenery, or feathers for a unique touch, these non-traditional bouquets allow you to express your individuality. If you're looking to break away from convention and create a bouquet that reflects your personality, this trend is worth exploring.

Flowers can tie a theme together, breathe life into a venue, and add color to your big day. While floral décor has always been a pivotal piece of the wedding aesthetic puzzle, it's since expanded to the ground, according to Neillie Butler, the owner and executive planner of Mariée Ami. Though the idea of the grounded arch isn't new, it's recently made waves on TikTok (1)

5. Outdoor Wedding Venues: Embracing Natural Beauty

For couples seeking the beauty of nature as a backdrop for their wedding, outdoor wedding venues in Louisville, KY, are definitely worth considering. These venues provide a stunning and natural setting for your special day. Whether it's a garden, a vineyard, or a lakeside location, outdoor venues offer a unique and picturesque atmosphere that can make your wedding truly memorable.

In Summary

TikTok is a valuable source of wedding inspiration, but not every trend will align with your vision for your big day. When considering these trends, it's essential to evaluate their worthiness based on your preferences, budget, and the overall theme of your wedding. Mini wedding cakes, eco-friendly practices, vintage decor, unconventional bouquets, and outdoor wedding venues all offer unique and appealing elements that can enhance your wedding experience.

Ultimately, your wedding should reflect your unique style, values, and preferences. If a trend aligns with what you envision for your special day, embrace it. However, don't feel pressured to incorporate every trend you come across on TikTok. Your wedding should be a reflection of your love story and the things that matter most to you.

Remember that your wedding day is a celebration of your love, and it should bring joy and happiness to you, your partner, and your loved ones. So, whether you opt for intimate micro weddings, DIY decor, or inclusive wedding parties, make choices that resonate with your hearts and make your big day truly unforgettable.

One Less Vendor to Book: Table Linens Are Now In-House We just added table linens to our rental list. $20 per table, available in black or ivory, sized to fit our 60 inch round tables and our 6 ft and 8 ft rectangle tables. If you were planning to source linens through an outside rental company, you can cross that vendor off your list. What's Included Every linen fits the tables already in your rental, so there's no measuring or guessing sizes. Choose black or ivory for each table, mix them if you want contrast between your head table and guest tables, and let us know your count and colors ahead of your event. Why It's Worth Adding Outside linen rentals mean a separate contract, a separate delivery window, and someone tracking pickup after your event. Adding linens through 314 means one fewer vendor to coordinate and one fewer delivery to plan around on the day itself. It's a small add-on, but it's one less thing on your list. How to Add It Add linens on your Services Selection form if your wedding is already booked, or ask about it on your tour and we'll build it into your quote on the spot. Pricing is $20 per table , and you can see the full add-on list on our Services & Rentals page. Ready to see what else rounds out your day? Visit our Services & Rentals page or schedule a tour to walk through it in person.

Why Mid-Summer Is the Best Time to Tour 314 The grounds are at their fullest right now, green, in bloom, and exactly what most couples picture when they imagine their wedding day. If you're deciding when to come see the venue in person, this is the season that shows it off best. The outdoor space, in season The gazebo and lawn are where most ceremonies happen at 314, and mid-summer is when that space looks the way it does in every photo you've been saving to a Pinterest board. Full trees, green grass, natural light that lasts well into the evening. Touring in person this time of year means you're seeing the actual backdrop, not an off-season version of it. Picture your own reception outdoors Whether your date lands in fall, spring, or another summer, walking the grounds while they're in full bloom makes it easier to picture your own setup: where the welcome table goes, where guests gather before the ceremony, how the light moves across the lawn as the evening goes on. Want to see it before you visit? Browse our full photo gallery . The takeaway You don't have to be getting married this summer to tour this summer. Most of the couples touring right now are booking dates well into 2027 and 2028, they're just choosing to see the venue while it's at its best. Ready to see it in person? Schedule a tour .

Touring This Summer? Here's Why Your Date Won't Wait Right now, in the middle of summer, we're booking weddings and events across an unusually wide window: fall 2026, all of 2027, and into spring 2028. If you toured this month and you're still deciding, here's the one thing worth understanding before you wait. Your date is the deadline, not the price Our rental rates don't move based on when you sign. A Saturday in October 2027 costs the same whether you book it in July or in December, the rate is tied to the event date, not your booking date. So waiting doesn't cost you money on the date you already have your eye on. It can cost you the date itself. We only have one Saturday in any given month, one specific weekend in the season you're picturing. With events already on the books close to two years out, the dates people want most, particular Saturdays, holiday weekends, peak-season weekends, go first. If you're set on a date or a narrow window, that's the actual constraint you're working against. What does change: which year you land in Rental pricing is set by event year, not booking date: Friday: $2,750 + tax for 2026-2027, $2,995 + tax for 2028 Saturday: $2,995 + tax for 2026-2027, $3,600 + tax for 2028 Sunday: $2,200 + tax for 2026-2027, $2,200 + tax for 2028 If you're flexible between a 2027 date and a 2028 date, that's worth knowing. But if your heart is set on a specific spring 2028 weekend, the math isn't "book now for a discount," it's "book now so that weekend is still open when you're ready to sign." The takeaway If you have a date in mind: tour, decide, and lock it in. The price on that date isn't going anywhere, but the date itself might. If you're flexible on year and want to compare 2027 versus 2028 pricing, reach out and we'll walk you through it. Ready to see it in person? Schedule a tour .
