Rain or Shine: 314 Exchange Has Your Wedding Covered

Why having a built-in weather plan changes everything about how your wedding day feels

If you've been planning a wedding for any length of time, someone has probably already asked you: "But what if it rains?"

It's one of the most common worries couples carry into the venue search — and honestly, a fair one. Kentucky weather in the spring and summer can change in a matter of hours. What starts as a beautiful morning can turn stormy by early afternoon, and if your venue doesn't have a solid plan for that, the stress falls entirely on you.

At 314 Exchange, the answer to that question is simple: you're covered. Always.

Both Spaces Are Yours From the Start

Every rental at 314 Exchange includes full access to both the outdoor covered barn structure and the climate-controlled indoor hall. You don't have to choose one or pay extra for a backup option — both spaces are yours for the entire day, from 9am to midnight.

That means if the forecast looks uncertain in the days leading up to your wedding, there's no scrambling to find an alternate venue, no added fees, and no last-minute decisions that throw off your timeline. The indoor space is already yours. It's already set up. It's already beautiful.

What Happens If We Need to Flip Indoors

If weather becomes a concern on the day itself and an outdoor ceremony needs to move inside, our team handles the transition as part of our setup and teardown service. You don't need to coordinate it yourself or pull vendors away from what they're doing — we take care of it so the day keeps moving.

It's worth noting: the indoor hall at 314 Exchange isn't a fallback. It's a stunning space in its own right — exposed brick walls, modern lighting, warm wood tones, and room for up to 120 guests. Couples who end up celebrating indoors consistently tell us it was just as beautiful as they'd imagined. Sometimes more so.

Why This Matters More Than You'd Think

The peace of mind that comes with a built-in weather plan affects more than just logistics. It changes how you feel in the weeks leading up to your wedding. You stop checking the forecast every day. You stop imagining worst-case scenarios. You start trusting that the day is going to be great — because you know it will be, whatever the weather.

That's not a small thing. Wedding planning is already full of moving pieces, and knowing one major variable is handled lets you focus on what actually matters: celebrating with the people you love.

Still Have Questions About How It Works?

Our FAQ page covers the weather backup question in detail, along with everything else you'd want to know before booking. Take a look — and when you're ready to see both spaces in person, we'd love to give you a tour.

Touring This Summer? Here's Why Your Date Won't Wait Right now, in the middle of summer, we're booking weddings and events across an unusually wide window: fall 2026, all of 2027, and into spring 2028. If you toured this month and you're still deciding, here's the one thing worth understanding before you wait. Your date is the deadline, not the price Our rental rates don't move based on when you sign. A Saturday in October 2027 costs the same whether you book it in July or in December, the rate is tied to the event date, not your booking date. So waiting doesn't cost you money on the date you already have your eye on. It can cost you the date itself. We only have one Saturday in any given month, one specific weekend in the season you're picturing. With events already on the books close to two years out, the dates people want most, particular Saturdays, holiday weekends, peak-season weekends, go first. If you're set on a date or a narrow window, that's the actual constraint you're working against. What does change: which year you land in Rental pricing is set by event year, not booking date: Friday: $2,750 + tax for 2026-2027, $2,995 + tax for 2028 Saturday: $2,995 + tax for 2026-2027, $3,600 + tax for 2028 Sunday: $2,200 + tax for 2026-2027, $2,200 + tax for 2028 If you're flexible between a 2027 date and a 2028 date, that's worth knowing. But if your heart is set on a specific spring 2028 weekend, the math isn't "book now for a discount," it's "book now so that weekend is still open when you're ready to sign." The takeaway If you have a date in mind: tour, decide, and lock it in. The price on that date isn't going anywhere, but the date itself might. If you're flexible on year and want to compare 2027 versus 2028 pricing, reach out and we'll walk you through it. Ready to see it in person? Schedule a tour .
